Director and Chief Electrician
Kent is our Director and Chief Electrician. After 10 years with the Royal Australian Corps of Signals and deployments in Timor and Bougainville, Kent “retired” to domestic life in Brisbane with his wife Kellie and family.
Sure, he’s a seriously big unit (!) with a background in martial arts and coaching children at the Chinese Kung Fu Academy in East Brisbane – “I love watching young kids’ confidence grow as they train at the Academy, it reminds me of my own childhood as a skinny little dude!”. That emerging self-assurance stood Kent in good stead in the armed forces, working in testing conditions overseas. Upon his return, he completed a mature age apprenticeship to qualify as the electrician we all know and love today! Good work Kent but great to have you back home where we can keep you safe!
Another healthy interest of Kent’s is Rugby Union – Go Wallabies!
Underpinning Kent’s longevity as an electrician, is his patience, professionalism and a great sense of humour. As he puts it; “I genuinely want to help people – customers and colleagues alike. I like making a difference in people’s day.”
What his colleagues say about Kent:
“As bosses go, he’s not too bad! Coming to work every day, you don’t quite know what he’ll come out with but it’s always fun! He’s fair too.” – Nathan
“Best boss and bro (yep, it’s a family business!). That old sibling rivalry still kicks in at times but we use it to create a fun but productive workplace. Trust…that’s implicit.” – Daniel
“Punctual!! Always early and loud when he is in the office” – Kellie
